Backstory: The Strawbale Cottage at Howden, Yorkshire is, as the name suggests, built with straw bales and the walls are very thick and deep. In the morning, the light through the kitchen window, with its simple green gingham curtain and the natural finish of the walls matched the wonderful, gentle, calming atmosphere of the whole place.
