Touché Tarot !

A cautionary tale for wanna be smartasses (arses) .

It is said that ….“nobody likes a smartass”….well (unusually for me) I’m inclined to agree .especially when the smartass in question … IS ME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I’ve had an interest in the tarot for many years …..it started way back in the late 1970s when I was at collage hippy dress was “IN” and mystical magical was all the rage.

Tarot cards in some form or another have been around for thousands of years …. I couldn’t even start to discus the history ..uses and numerous different thinking relating to it right now!!!….for the purposes of this description all you need to know is … that for me personally the tarot is a pictorial “language” filled with symbology representing all aspects of human life…..nothing more than a clever tool I use in which to organise my thoughts as well as providing a convenient way to access randomized inspiration ….JUST PRETTY BITS OF CARD!! DEVOID OF ANY HIPPYSHIT POWER NO MORE ABLE TO PREDICT THE FUTURE THAN YOU OR I…..

But that said they are still one hell of clever piece of kit…..with a simple combination of cards all human characteristics , people types and the infinitely complex situations they find themselves in can be represented.

Ok that sorted …. Time to get back to the story …… now it wont surprise any of you who know me .LOL….that there was a time once in my life ( my mid 20’s) when I was so full of myself I thought I knew everything there was to know and that includes every there was to know about TAROT ….not just that!! I found what I thought was a…“flaw”. . an oversight in a thousand years of wisdom no less!!

( think maxxxi is impossible now!! You should have known her back then!!!!!! LOL)

I found something that the cards didn’t cover !!!! ( Even if you believe the cards are magical and all knowing) there’s still a card missing !!!

The Tarot doesn’t contains a “NO COMMENT “ card (even I’m speechless occasionally ) but the tarot wasn’t !!! there was no card to represent “ERROR” , FUK KNOWS, CAN’T TELL, WHO KNOWS CLUELESS …….ZERO …NOTHING …BLANK!!!! I guess you could say it was missing a “JOKER”

18 years ago since I had that particular spark of genius and ever since then I’ve always added an extra card to any tarot deck .

[ nearly all decks include a makers card ,bridge card sort of thing …. Or a card with other available products on it ….. It matters not what’s printed on the face as long as the back is the same as the rest of the deck.]

I named it my …….“EXPECT THE UNEXPECTED” card ……and guess what!!!!!!!!

In 18 years of “messing about” with my tarot cards ( as much as 3 times a week)

******** NOT ONCE HAS MY “EXPECT THE UNEXPECTED” CARD APPEARED IN A READING!!!!!!!!!!!!!*********

In fact, it got to the stage where I’d all but forgotten I’d added it and accepted ,just maybe I’d been wrong and there was some weird hippyshit going on, that meant my card would never appear because IT WASN’T MEANT TO BE THERE.!!! WOOOOHH!!

Maxxxi butterfly hasn’t been her usual fluttery self of late …

because a cruel monster backed her into a corner …. then locked her away in a box !!

She sits there now in a puddle of her own tears , confused and contemplating the error of her ways , with nothing to guild her, but a broken heart and a faithful old pack of cards !! ………..

I BELIEVE IN YOU …PLEASE HELP ME JUST THIS ONCE I’M DESPERATE AND I DON’T KNOW WHAT TO DO…………
