Forest fire
This fire was started by a lightning strike from a very dramatic storm. This was the first day of the fire. They thought it would burn itself out, but the winds picked up and the flames, as you can see, jumped from tree to tree. It ended up burning almost 1,000 acres. My daughter was worried that it would climb up the mountain to our camp, but it didn't last that long.
