Sonora Pass, CA

When I woke up the second day of my trip, my truck was covered in two inches of snow and it was cold. The roads in Bridgeport were clear, but they had closed all the passes back to the other side of the Sierras. I waited until the temperatures rose above freezing and decided to explore North of Bridgeport.

My first stop was Highway 108 and the Sonora Pass. The pass was closed, but I was able to drive about five miles up Highway 108 and get a great view of this valley. I loved the view with Junction Creek and the new snow in the mountains. I drove back towards Bridgeport after this stop hoping for more great vistas. I wasn't disappointed.
