Mono Hot Springs
I took a trip for my birthday up to the Mono Hot Springs Resort. It was my first time staying in one of their cabins and I had a great time hiking and fishing around the resort. There is a campground next to the river and this was taken at the end of the road.
The first time I fished in the river I missed this bend in the river. I came back with my pole after taking this picture and I caught three trout next to the rock in the right hand corner of the picture. They looked like native trout and were fun to catch. They stock the river in the summer and it is usually a great place to catch rainbows. I think I know my fall destination in the Sierras from now on.
