I have a six degrees of separation with this portrait. Kehinde Wiley is the artist that painted this portrait which is hanging in the Philbrook Museum of Art in Tulsa. He is known for painting large images using African Americans as subjects and using famous paintings as inspiration. This painting is huge, it is almost ten feet across. Now for the six degrees of separation. I went to school in Hawaii at Punahou as did Barack Obama while I was a student there. He was a couple of years behind me, but I never met him. Mr. Wiley was chosen to be the official portrait painter for Mr. Obama when he was in office. I looked it up online and it is a pretty amazing portrait of the President.
