John H. Williams Tallgrass Prairie Preserve

The tallgrass prairie was an amazing drive this year. All the rain has brought out green like I've never seen before. The trees were full of leaves and the plants were on the ground were loving life. This is a typical view on our drive through the preserve.

 

We were hoping to see some of the new calves on this trip, but they were hiding. We did see a few bulls that were hanging out together, but the main herd was too far off the road to capture. We made up for it with some great bird captures and a few other critters that we don't normally see here. All in all, it was a pretty nice drive.
