Patriot's Point, Slab City
Near Salvation Mountain was Patriot's Point. The place looked abandoned when we were here and it could be because the person that lived here passed away recently. Patriot Bill created this location to honor veterans across the world. He himself was a vet from the Vietnam war.
I saw a video online where he talked about wanting to create a museum here to honor war veterans. He also had some trailers that he rented out to people that wanted to visit. Of course, almost everyone here also accepts donations which I'm sure is a main source of income for most that live here full time.
