Merced National Wildlife Refuge (In Explore)
This was taken earlier this year when the birds were still at the refuge. If you look closely in the tree, you can see a great horned owl roosting. There was a viewing platform near where I took this picture and there were a dozen people with long lens trying to get its picture.
If you are a bird lover, the wildlife refuges near Los Banos are a destination you should seek out. Thousands of birds come here every year to winter in the area. While I was taking the sunset, hundreds of birds were flying into the area to roost for the night. And as you can see, it is a great destination for sunsets
