Pearl Crescent Butterfly
We were in the Tallgrass Prairie Preserve a couple of days ago shooting butterflies near the visitor center. We only had a few minutes to take pictures before my brother had to leave to get back to St. Louis. We decided to come back today and try again when there was more time to shoot. A couple of days brought a big change in the area. The wind had picked up and we only saw about four butterflies. This was my best capture of the day. I kept snapping away hoping to catch the butterfly with its wings open and this was the winner.
