Sierra Nevada Creek

I took a really scenic drive up into the foothills outside of Fresno looking for poppies (Which I did see!) and then drove up into the Shaver Lake area. The mountains had epic snow this year and a lot of it is still on the ground. This creek runs through the Dinkey Creek Road closer to the town of Shaver. During the summer, you can see deer grazing here on many nights.

I drove through a couple of areas where the snow was still over the top of the to my truck. I was surprised at how dense this snow was to walk on. I didn't sink in at all and it was a nice break for my old beat up body. I shot the creek from quite a few different angles and this one caught my eye the best. I'm glad I made it up before it all melts away. It was a great lazy drive today.
