California Poppy
I took this on a drive through the Fresno foothills today. I was in an area that I knew grew poppies and was hoping that they would be out on this trip. I did find a patch of poppies, but I didn't see a carpet of them like I was hoping. The ones that I saw gave me an opportunity to break out my macro lens and this was one of my better tries. I'm still hoping to get a hillside covered in poppies, but I think I'll still have to wait a couple more weeks. Please press "L" for a better view.
