Merced National Wildlife Refuge Sunset

We came late in the day hoping to capture the sandhill cranes that feed here. They didn't get here in time for us to have enough light to shoot them, but I did get this flock flying across at sunset. The refuge covers several thousand acres and provides a safe home and feeding place for a lot of varieties of birds.
