Cravens at Mumps

A Manchester Victoria to Rochdale service, formed by one of the Cravens power twins provided when the line was dieselised back in 1957, approaches the former L&Y station at Oldham Mumps.

A good collection of vans still in evidence at the former goods warehouse.

Just about everything in the shot, station train , signals, warehouse, former cotton mills, railway infrastructure all swept away. Part of the footbridge I was standing on still remains.
