First Kernow: 34137 L637 SEU, near Lands End
Having just dodged a car for this fast moving action scene, the sun decided to also have a break behind some cloud cover but thankfully a record was captured of this onetime Bristol Cityline, Volvo Olympian / Northern Counties Palatine 2 with a fine Cummins L10 unit which has operated as an open topper for the Penzance, St Ives and Lands End area routes for a number of years in its later life. It should be noted it still retains its older 34137 fleetnumber from its closed top days, perhaps linked to been converted in house after having its roof damaged in Falmouth under a low bridge in March 2011, anyone know the details?
L637 SEU had regular dodged me over various visits in 2014 and 2015 through been VOR or at Camborne for routine maintainance but was only seen on odd occasions in use. 2016 thankfully allowed many happy rides in it even if the weather was fairly dull or naff most of the time, including a full run from Penzance to St Ives via Lands End! Sadly 2016 was its last season in service alongside the Citybuses, all due to DDA nonsense, what next a left to allow a wheelchair on the top deck front seat location?
