Nugget Point Lighthouse walking track

When tides are high silky white Kotuku Kutupapa perch sheltered and protected on the rock nugget pictured. Shy and graceful, they fly with the tide to spoon their bills in shallow Catlins estuaries (hence the name 'Spoonbill')

 

There are 4 fur seals lazying on the rock to the lower right. If you open up the image to full resolution you'll be able to identify them easier.
