Traverse
The Linn Cove Viaduct. This was the last section of the Blue Ridge Parkway. To help protect the ecosystem on the slopes of Grandfather Mountain, the viaduct was precast, transported to the site, and each section lowered by special cranes to minimize any site disturbance. This is a distant straight-on view at dawn in late October. The viaduct is actually very curvy with some nice S-curves, one of which is shown in the classic shot of this beautiful structure. I didn't have time to explore it, but there are many beautiful shots by others.
