Coronavirus Slice

With all the particles around, I started wondering what they look like. Lots of images on the web showing the exteriors, but I didn't see any showing the interior, so I grabbed the nearest particle (cough) and sliced it up! Amazing what it revealed inside!

Old Tamron 90-mm macro manual lens. One of the best if you can find them. Supurb dampening and long-throw focusing and super sharp. Nice for portraits too.

This is actually a blood orange, so those black areas are correct and show up often in the fruit. Compared with a navel orange, these have a stronger, almost savory flavor.

To see this correctly may require a good calibrated monitor. The color is a rich vibrant orange-red on my ASUS ProArt photo-processing monitor, but the colors are very dull on my laptop monitor, which was bought mainly for work and word-processing and doesn't have great oranges and reds.

Update: I bumped the saturation and brightness a bit to improve the look on not-so-great monitors. Now somewhat more in your face on my good monitor but better on my laptop monitor.
