Bourreria radula (Rough strongbark)

This small tropical tree is extremely rare in Florida, known only from Key West in the wild. The best place to see it is the old Key West Cemetery. This photo from a cultivated plant in Homestead at the Mary Krome Bird Refuge. The common name is often spelled strongback because a tea made from the bark supposedly makes your back strong.
