Lilaeopsis chinensis (Marsh Lilaeopsis)
In former rice field adjacent to the Combahee River, ACE Basin National Wildlife Refuge, Beaufort County, South Carolina. Despite the epithet, this is an American species and right at home here. Linnaeus mistakenly thought it was from China when he named it.
