Stewartia malacodendron (Silky Camellia)

Thanks to John Nelson, today I was able to visit Weneee Woods, home of Evelyn Dabbs, to see a wild population of silky camelia in full flower. The plants are on a bluff above the Black River (north of US378), Sumter County, South Carolina
