Eriochloa polystachya (Caribbean Cupgrass)

This very weedy grass is still rare in Florida, thought it may be overlooked. I pulled over to photograph it thinking it was Urochloa mutica, and quickly realized I was wrong. They are very similar. This colony was forming a very dense stand on the edge of a pasture. Hendry County, West of Devil's Garden, edge of CR833, Florida
