Penmon light house on a cold -4'C January morning. Myself Pensans and Kev Lewis set about doing some star trails over looking the light house. Armed with 5 canon DSLR's, warm clothing a handful of spare battery's not to mention about 2 gallons of hot coffee and chocolate.
Kev and Pensans had 2 cameras each to try single long exposure shots and stacked images like this...me only having the one camera I had one chance to get a shot. I did a fist frame of 180 seconds and then the rest were 30 seconds each until the battery went flat. that was 310 shots later.
I must admit that I think I was in a bit to much of a rush to get set up and shooting as my horizon was a little bit off. I say a little...it was almost enough to make kev roll about the floor laughing when he saw the first frame from 10 feet away on the 3inch screen. I'm sure if it wasn't for the fact it was -4'c and our feet were frozen to the ground he would have!! It sure was a fantastic clear night for doing this kind of thing and the good company sure helps pass the hours whilst trying to get a capture like this. Thanks guys! Look forward to the next one!
