One of the bridges that cover the many small ravines and rocky outcrops in Puzzle wood in the Forest of Dean.

The enchanting ancient forest of puzzle wood in the forest of dean. Reputedly the inspiration for Fanghorn forest in JRR Tolkiens 'Lord of the rings' trilogy and 'The Hobbit". Tolkien visited the woodland on several occasions while writing his famous work.

The location was recently used for the BBC production of 'Merlin' series 2 & 3 and the recent series of Dr Who.

Warner Bros were due to arrive the day after my visit to check out its credentials as a film location.

The area has been used for over 2000 years and sits on top of a network of caves (clearwell caves) over the years more than 3000 Roman coins have been found in the area.
