the grey auld toon, so called because at one time nearly all the old buildings were built from grey stone and slates. taken on a dismal - wet and misty early spring morning. looking from the west end, over the town towards the minto hills, and the minto craggs. in the far distance, with the millers knowes on the far right. hawick, scottish borders, scotland.
