Xynole installation
Per the designer, this polyester cloth has excellent abrasion qualities and adheres to plywood better than fiberglass. Better yet, this material is so easy to work with. Cut with sissors, wrinkles and puckers go where you want them to go and the material lays flat...almost seems to have static cling.
Yes I wet out raw wood before fiberglass taping of seams. While working alone, no way would I want to attempt putting down large pieces of Xynole onto wetted out wood and trying to position the fabric and get wrinkles out before the epoxy kicks off. So the Xynole went down on dry plywood. Who says I have to be consistent in my concerns and subsequent practices.
