Instrument panel ruminations

My thanks to Egbert Dees who devised this instrument panel design for his BJ 25.5. I visited Egbert's boat at the Woodenboat show in Georgetown, SC and very much liked the aesthics of his panel design.

 

I purchased a Garmin chart plotter thus have a benchmark to fabricate a hood to house a chart plotter. I need to consider screen visibility whether seated or standing, and nighttime reflection off the windshield.

 

I continue to ponder what size steering wheel to use.
