Cattle Egret In Breeding Plumage In Flight Wakodahatchee Wetlands
I wanted to put up another Cattle Egret image after a comment I received yesterday. You do not need a big lens to shoot wading birds at Wakodahatchee Wetlands. Some of the nests are 15 feet from the boardwalk, yes, others are further away but close up flight shots are not a problem at Wako. If you are ever in South Florida Green Cay and Wako are worth a stop!! This shot was taken late in the day with my 300mm lens as this Cattle Egret was on the way back to the nest with dinner for the babies!! Thanks for looking and putting up with my rants!! We are going to try to keep posting but it will depend on what a tropical system does later on in the week.
