DESDE LA CUMBRE DEL GILBO "EL CERVINO LEONES" // From the Matterhorn Leon "The Gilbo"

El pico más llamativo, bello y esbelto de la Montaña Riaño es, sin lugar a dudas, el Gilbo ( 1.677 m ). Su silueta apuntada y sumamente característica se levanta por encima de las aguas del embalse de Riaño recordando, una vez más, al alpino Matterhorn, más conocido como Cervino. Por supuesto que en este rincón de la montaña Cantábrica encontramos cumbres mucho más elevadas, que rozan o incluso superan los dosmil metros de altitud. Sin embargo, ninguna de ellas puede competir con la presencia de este pico de hechizante figura. Las rutas habituales que conducen a su cúspide carecen de dificultades, pero son hermosas y originales, por lo que la ascensión llenará, sin duda, el alma de todo tipo de montañeros.

The most striking peak, beautiful and slender Mountain Riano is, without doubt, the Gilbo (1,677 m). Its targeted and highly characteristic silhouette rises above the waters of the reservoir of Riano remembering, once again, the Matterhorn Alpine, better known as Matterhorn. Of course, in this corner of the Cantabrian mountain peaks found much higher, that rub or even exceed two thousand meters. However, none of them can compete with the presence of this peak figure haunting.
