My pass through height is 42". Standard cabinet base height is 36. Add 5/8" for plywood, 3/4"for the granite countertop and 4" for the granite backsplash and you'll have a perfect match from the splash to the granite bar height. I use the prefabricated slabs and install them myself using a skil saw and diamond blade for the key cuts. Granite in my flip houses cost me less than 15.00 s.f. while any company you would hire would be 50.00 s.f. This is a huge savings and more importantly lets me offer a better product at the end of the day.
