Accessed here through Spoon Bay where the walk on top here isn't that easy. There's a dividing channel between them both covered with black ice (extremely slippery rock) with about half a meter one can carefully slide over on their butts. A slip would mean a 5 meter fall into the channel.. and I didn't want to go down there..

 

I spent quite some time before crossing the channel debating on if I should risk it or not. I could see that the view would be well worth it so In the end, I packed up my tripod and camera gear into my bag and slowly crossed. Having experienced black ice before I knew to test many times with footing and hand holds before transferring my weight.

I was fine and got this panoramic and a few others as a reward.
