Washington Photo Contest

1046 - Many people forget how different the eastern half of Washington state is, and the picture I attached depicts just how close to nature you can get and the beauty of the Hanford Reach. The picture is of a doe and her triplets with Rattlesnake Mountain--central to some of Washington's best wineries--in the background.

The Hanford Reach is along the mighty Columbia River and near the historic B Reactor where our state played a key role to help end WWII. Visitors come to the eastern half of Washington state for the wine, history and the serenity of the wildlife that city goers rarely see.
