The Pelican Flower (Aristolochia grandiflora), also called Duck Flower, Fly Catcher Flower and Dutchman's Pipe, is a deciduous vine with enormous flowers that emit an odor that humans consider unpleasant but attractive to insects.
The greenish and purple flowers, shaped like a pelican' pouch and beak, are 20 to 45 cm.
The plant is native to the lowlands and the rainforests of Central America (Mexico to Panama), the Caribbean and South America, particularly Brazil.

Burgers Bush is a completely indoor tropical rainforest covering 1.5 hectares (150 x 100 meters) and 20 meters high, where visitors find thousands of tropical plants and animals, including manatees, capybaras, oriental small-clawed otters, caymans and many free living birds, smaller reptiles and amphibians. Also with a real waterfall in a "real" jungle.

The Pelikaanbloem (Aristolochia grandiflora) is een tot drie meter hoge klimplant met enorme bloemen die een onaangename geur voor mensen hebben, maar aangenaam zijn voor insecten. De groene en paarse bloemen, in de vorm van een keelzak aan de snavel van een peilkaan, zijn 20 tot 45 cm.
De plant is inheems in de laagvlaktes en regenwouden Midden-Amerika van Mexico tot Panama, de Caraïben en in Zuid-Amerika, met name Brazilië.
De niet allerdaagse Aristolochia grandiflora wordt in Nederland naast in Burgers Bush ook in de Hortus Botanicus in Leiden gehouden.
