Varsity Theater
The last schedule, Fall 1983. This is the front of the schedule, there's also a back page. I don't where that scan is right now, or what date they lasted until. The first floor was torn out in the mid-80s and became a Gap store. The upper part of the interior, an "atmospheric" house in the theme of a Mediterranean courtyard with a night sky, was left" intact" though damaged by fire a few years later. Plan to somehow convert the building to a legitimate theater ran into numerous architectural problems with that configuration while trying to maintain any historic parts of the interior and stay within a feasible budget. Last I heard, to be gutted internally and converted to residential.
