Before And Now

I like this painting-distortion of Katsushika Hokusai's 'The Great Wave'.

Mount Fuji, Tsunami-storm swell and the Titanic...

seemed appropriate to our day's theme of flooding.

The cafe that houses this painting sat just metres from the encroaching flood waters --

I love this cafe and not for the reasons they might think. It probably does its best trade as a Hoi An night spot. Coolsie attractors, cheap drinks and sexy travellers...but thats not what I like:

I dig its restaurant muscles...good food, good manager, best ca phe sui da in Hoi An. I like the original artwork everywhere (Even if it is post modern pop art gone mad at times). I like the free fast wifi and the empty spaces hidden in the backrooms where you can hide, write and reflect...

I didnt mean to fall in love with you, you're far too stupid to actually be my type...but I did...I have.

I must have you.
