Burrowing Owls

We stopped the car when we spotted an owl on a ridge next to the road. As we were watching it and taking photos a second owl literally popped out of the ground. I was so surprised. I knew nothing about these cute little guys. The entrance to their "burrow" was just below them as they sat and watched the cars go by!!
