Mr Mallard
LEYLAND FE30AGR
Seen in Pond street Sheffield is 1452, ordered by Rotherham corparation but deliverd to South yorkshire pte by 1977, these were quite smart looking roe Fleetlines compleate with the standard pte brown leathers upstairs and orange moquette downstairs, they aged very quickly and became very tired looking by the mid 80s,
1452s life came to an end when she was involved in a small accident with a car not enough to be written off but she was nearing the end of her working life with the pte as were the batch 1446-1455, and this was good enough to issue her with the death warrant, she was stripped of most of her glazing as i recall and parked up with sister buses 1442/1449 near the steam clean bay at Midland road Rotherham awaiting that wagon to the scrap yard, this would be circa May 1987 along side was Y type Leyland leopard 67 (kkw67p) and National 9 (aak109t).
