Luminale 2018
An art installation by Philipp Geist for Franfurt Luminale 2018. Using video and large-screen projectors, the installation allowed visitors to enter an immersive space of light and thus integrating them within the artwork itself. Abstract, painted compositions projected onto the Römer and the City Hall façade. Including the façade elements, which were precisely adapted, visitors were sent on a visual journey through time, through typographical compositions of terms and illustrations. Luminale 2018
Although I had watched various light installations, this was the first made me feel part of the show itself. I was impressed by the precision that the light paintings followed the existing buildings.
