The hardest part about painting a tsunami is keeping your canvas on the easel thats why you have to tie down your painting when the winds start to hit ,The term tsunami comes from the Japanese, meaning "harbor" and "wave" .Tsunami are sometimes referred to as tidal waves. In recent years, this term has fallen out of favor, especially in the scientific community, because tsunami actually have nothing to do with tides.A tsunami can be generated when convergent or destructive plate boundaries abruptly move and vertically displace the overlying water.At least 25 tsunami occurred in the last century. Of these, many were recorded in the Asia–Pacific region, particularly Japan.The 2004 Indian Ocean tsunami killed over 200,000 people with many bodies either being lost to the sea or unidentified.There have been studies and some attempt to create tsunami waves as a weapon. In World War II, the army in New Zealand trialled explosives in the area of today's Shakespear Regional Park to create small tsunamis, an attempt which failed.
