Two Toucans
The Black-mandibled Toucan is the largest representative of the Ramphastidae family found in Costa Rica. It can be distinguished from the similar Keel-billed Toucan by its bi-coloured yellow and dark brown bill. All members of this large-billed group are fruit and seed eaters, but will steal eggs and nestlings from other birds. They may also occasionally prey on insects and small vertebrates.
