► █░▓ ≈≈≈≈≈≈≈≈≈≈≈≈ BEACH GUARDING in winter. She carries a black leather bag over her shoulder with bundles of cards for different types of visitors and varying lengths of stay on the beach. The winter tariff is much steeper because her job becomes tedious and there are fewer guests. So they have to compensate for those who don’t come. She punches the cards she sells with a pliers-like device that registers the time and date of arrival at the beach by punching the edge of the hard cardboard small dark brown ticket. In case of overstay, she is authorised to collect a municipal fine, which is 15% lower if paid immediately by electronic means. PayPal and Master’s are not accepted. Visa only. In case of cash payment, she is authorised to take personal information from the identification card of the person who committed the offence. Until recently, several people who refused to pay or to provide personal information stood impaled high on the spear visible in the middle of my previous capture. Ships passing by were obliged to sound their horn once for each unfortunate citizen exhibited on the stake. We remind you that on this side of the river begins the former Spanish territory where the laws of the Inquisition used to be in force. On the opposite riverbank from which the picture is taken, in contrast, women who confessed to being witches were burned at the stake. The last such case occurred on May 29, 1608. The witch's name was Anna Muggen, God rest her soul after strangulation and the fiercest of flames.
In order to correct the historical injustice, today’s witches in this part of the world are given numerous rights, rewards and benefits, so that they in their bloodthirsty crusade can destroy as many men as they wish and thus avenge their dead predecessors. The meticulous Dutch records show that the most victims fallen to these practices belong to the actual fathers of the witches’ children. Which they consider to be a good thing (like among some spider species females kill their males after mating. They're no more needed obviously. Beware of the spider woman!).
