Proud American 175 MM Tube one of the 1st entering in South Vietnam War.

 

The M-107 SPG (Self Propelled Gun) entered into the U.S. Army service in 1963 as a replacement for 155 MM M44 and M53 SPGs of the 1950's.

 

The M-107 SPG was soon pressed into service in South Vietnam as the U.S. Artillery's longest range weapon. The M-107's long-range 175 MM gun was the key to establishing a network of artillery fire bases and was one of the most important pieces in the artillery arsenal.
