Canadian Wendy 24 taking the summer off
We remember...the American Embassy, here in Ottawa, took photos of all the flowers left on 9/11 & days following. They enlarged them & hung them on the fence surrounding the Embassy as a thank you to the Canadian people.

I am posting this a couple of days early as it is a very busy weekend for me.
I Am
I am your brother, your sister, your neighbor, your friend
And the spirit rising across this great land
I am the heroes emerging, with arms strong and brave
And the tears that fall on each innocent grave
I am the churches still standing with doors open wide
And the stranger who draws you close to his side
I am the hue and the cry of a nation in pain
And the strength to rise and be noble again
I am the courage that wakens to face life anew
And gives comfort in glimpsing the red, white and blue
I am your fathers who fought for the freedom you love
And the eagle that soars on the wings of a dove
I am the statue who holds freedom's torch to the sky
And mothers who hold children close while they cry
I am the hand reaching out to help those in need
And a people who live up to democracy's creed
I am the reason, the season, the hope and the light
The beginning, the ending, the might and the right
I AM what brings you to bended knees
Not the enemy, who tries with atrocities
