Bus Jack is a former Air BNB and an art installation in Terlingua Ranch in the Chihuahuan Desert of West Texas. The rare patrons could choose between sleeping in a makeshift bed in a derelict VW bus or primitive camping, either one at a price of $20 a night. This bus is one of nine VW buses in a circle on a butte in the desert. Take your pick... no bath, no toilet, with a twin size piece of foam covered with an old sheet in the back of some of the vans. When I first photographed the place six years ago, it was still listed as an Airbnb, but since then it has been vandalized and de-listed. I took these new photos in May, 2024.
