Full Immersion

"Everyone likes it best, but you have to have the money. I do, of course, so I can buy whatever tech I want. At Water Level, you can even find military-grade interfaces. There are technicians who can graft that stuff into you for a song these days. The headgear enhances the interface and provides external processing power. You can't even imagine how beautiful the city looks on a good trip. I can see everyone's minds and, you know what? We're already all connected. The Net just reveals it to you."

Eiko Yamada, Nightclub Owner

The full helmet interface was common among I-Drug users at that time. Hundreds of direct connections to bio and cyber implants were possible with a to of the line model. The drugs, computer programs really, sometimes with a biochemical package attached, facilitated movement of neural activity from one person to the next, like a sort of mutually consensual telepathy, as well as direct interfacing with the Net. Some users maintain people go in permanently, but most scientists believe this to be impossible.

A few slices of life from Cyber City.

Look for it at BrickFair Virginia in August.
