NO GLUE?!?!?!?
Is our long international nightmare finally coming to an end? I got two of these dolls at Target yesterday and *THERE IS NO GLUE/SEALANT/MUCUS-LEAKING SAP IN THE HEADS*. 😲
They still have the weird computerized-looking hair rooting pattern with the thin single-row part and the plugs aren't lock-stitched to each other the way they used to be in the "olden days" (presumably because they're being poked in from the outside instead of sewn in from the inside), but instead of having a layer of "glue" to keep the hair from coming out, the ends of the plugs seem to have been melted inside the head to form "stoppers". Hopefully they're going to it this way from now on and it's not just an experiment or some kind of bizarre manufacturing error....
Have you seen other newer dolls like this? Is this a thing now? If so, it may be time to start collecting Barbie® dolls with reckless abandon again.

PS: Big thanks to anybody who's taken the time to complain directly to "them" about the sealant seepage issue - after almost ten years, somebody may finally have listened... (If not? Keep complaining.)
