Arcadia Fire Department Engine 105

A huge thank you to the Arcadia Fire Department and all the mutual aid providers who risked their lives to protect life and property during the Springs Fire. Your bravery and hard work is appreciated.

The Arcadia Fire Department is a full-service department that provides fire suppression, paramedic ambulance service, urban search and rescue, fire prevention inspections/permits, public fire education programs, emergency preparedness planning, fire cause and origin investigation, fire patrols and other services based on community needs.

They provide service to approximately 56,000 residents in 11.4 square miles. They maintain three (3) fire stations which house three (3) engine companies, one (1) truck company, two (2) paramedic rescue ambulances and one (1) Battalion Chief on a daily basis. Additionally, they cross-staff an urban search and rescue unit and an air/light unit.

The Department is part of Mutual Aid Region 1 Area C. They have developed automatic aid and mutual aid agreements with all of our surrounding cities and are part of the Verdugo Fire Communication System which provides fire dispatch to eleven area fire departments. The automatic and mutual aid agreements, as well as the regional dispatch system, are accomplishments that provide a seamless response to even the most challenging emergencies.
