Baumysue (also known as Amy) is known for this cute little rendering of her granddaughters favorite little toy. Not only is this a display of her above average talent for fingerpainting (check the texture of little Lamby there), it is also a display of the spirit she brings to her work. Her soft color pallette is what makes her work especially her own. She is known also for her depiction of landscapes and scenery during a cross-country journey with her family....from landscapes and buildings to a long winding road with her feet propped up on the dashboard. She has a very beautiful perspective--one I think everyone should see. Baumy/promotes life in art/strong and wise soul/love mixed with extraordinary talent makes that thing we call "ordinary" something very magical...sometimes she'll cast her little wand on me and inspire me to get back to fingerpaintin'.

Not only known for her distinct color pallette and brushstroke (layering of color), Baumy (Amy) puts together these wonderfully composed still life pieces (in many cases the composition is just as impressive as the rendering.) the detail work is impeccable...impressionist in style.... AND I ADORE IT!!!!!

Magnus Blank...ha! The talking buildings. Another artist who brings a lot of edge to the situation. I love his graffiti style linework. it is very raw, but clean (and gifted). This is also an indication of his affinity for collage and placement. I know him too for his series of faces. This one reminds me of the hustle and bustle on a very hot and humid day. Magnus/wicked line work/the city has eyes/more edge to the equation raises the stakes...thank you for your wonderful work!

This is my favorite by Magnus (right now, anyway--it changes from time to time). i love the colors and collage effect. It has been nice to watch him develop his use of the apps and turn it into this. He is an artist I will continue to follow...and watch the twists and turns of his style. its pretty awesome...its obvious that there is way more to come.

David Leibowitz. Another MASTER of the apps. I love this piece for so many reasons. Main reasons are the colors, the placement of the images, and the perspective. This to me is an exraordinary illustration of what one can do with multiple applications. This is also a piece that lured me into abstraction. Very inspirational. David is also the creator of iCreated, a mobile-art museum featuring mobile-art WORK and artists. another innovator.

gdurrett...its all in how you see it. I have to say, what brought me to gdurrett was, first, this painting and then 3 of his photographs. I instantly knew he had his own point of view....and it is magical. He can hone in on the smallest thing and enlarge it to change your entire view of it. that takes more than skill, in my view. this is his early work of a window--the light is gorgeous, the composition created from this perspective is absolutely perfect. gdurrett/a new view/how refreshing

Matthew Watkins. I saw this painting and thought "what great skill here!" the line work on the suit amazes me. It is very impressionistic, and clearly takes a steady hand and vision to execute. Matthew is also known for his pig series--and like many of the other great mobile-artist, brings a lightheartedness and humor to his work. I was drawn to this piece because it displayed his skill as a fine artist--and at the time, I was honing my own ability to execute realistic paintings on such a small medium. Matthew/a push to keep at it/i mean, look at all that scribble work that took place before this masterpiece...
Mia says:
I think this displays matthews range and vision. a bunch of cloned business people meticulously scattereda bout a deserted land--still expecting to find business. Looks robotic. I like this not only for the concept, but look at those beautiful clouds up top. gorgeous color below. perfect perfect perfect.

Luis (or 9monos, as I originally knew him...took me a while to realize it was the same person...lol) For me, Luis had several pieces that first caught my attention. Here is one. His depictions of warrior women are absolutely amazing...and, due to my feminist upbringing, duly appreciated! but check the line work inthe hair, and teh metallic necklace--this is ALL talent, here. gorgeous, I know Luis, also, for his detail (as you can see)...9monos/1 finger/meticulous hand/blank screen turned a beautiful warrior princess...
Nothing here yet.
