Mining Bee

I saw loads of these today. On the sandy part of the cliffs. At first I thought they were some sort of parasitic wasp, or false wasp, but now I see it, it looks more like a bee? I would be interested to know from the insect people as to what they think these are :) Thanks in advance :)
