These old mailboxes have been standing on duty.
I haven't paid much attention to mailboxes until now. (What is it about carrying a camera everywhere you go that seems to open your eyes to so many details around you - and more than that, makes them all seem fascinating?) Anyway, maybe these old boxes are commonplace, but I couldn't resist them. I don't remember seeing one of those green/gray storage boxes since I was a kid in St. Louis in the 60s. That box is dated 1960 and the blue box 1959.
